Swift Fuels has developed a new high-performance unleaded alternative to 100LL Avgas that is kind to aircraft engines and results in lower toxic emissions.
The DeLand Showcase also featured a product not always seen at general aviation events or airports — unleaded avgas — something Chris D’Acosta, CEO of Swift Fuels, a sponsor of the event, said he hopes will change. Swift Fuels was on hand all weekend fueling airplanes and spreading the word about its UL94 MON avgas.
Just two months since Able Flight’s “Class of 2016” arrived at Purdue University, seven have already become licensed pilots. By the time the last flight touches down, the students will have logged more than 330 hours of instruction, requiring approximately 1,600 hundred gallons of Swift Fuels' UL94 avgas, and numerous oil changes. The new pilots will get get their wings at a Wing Pinning Ceremony at this year’s AirVenture, July 26, at 11 a.m.
Swift Fuels, LLC is partnering with DeLand Municipal Airport and will be the sole supplier of unleaded avgas to power aircraft at the 2016 DeLand Sport Aviation Showcase on November 3-5, 2016.
